Delano Franklyn (right), minister of state in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade presents a painting entitled "Earth Rhythm", by Jamaican artist Lois Lake Sherwood, to secretary-general of the Association of Caribbean States, Professor Norman Girvan.

The Jamaican Government was responding to an invitation from the ACS Secretariat to member countries to contribute works of art to be displayed at the secretariat's offices in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Professor Girvan acknowledged the painting as a symbol of the Jamaican Government's continued commitment to and support of the ACS. The presentation took place during a special meeting of the executive board of the Ministerial Council of the Association of Caribbean States, last week.
